Douala, Cameroon: the Saint Nicodemus chain of homes. Prompted by the goal to fight poverty among street children in the streets of Douala by housing, educating, and providing them with material support.

Philippines: Gawad Kalinga. Initiated by the Couples for Christ in 2001, the Gawad Kalinga aims to reduce, and consequently eliminate, poverty in the country. Its activities include the provision of housing to low-income families (known as GK Villages), youth empowerment and development, community empowerment, and improvement of health and environment, among others.
