National College of Public Administration and Governance
The National College of Public Administration and Governance (NCPAG) has been the pioneering leader of the discipline in the Philippines and in Asia since its establishment as the Institute of Public Administration in 1952. In performing its three-fold function of instruction, research, and extension service, it has expanded its scope from governmental management to the broader concerns of governance, including the roles of the private sector and civil society.
Civil Service Commission
The Civil Service Commission (CSC) is the central personnel agency of the Philippine government. One of the three independent constitutional commissions with adjudicative responsibility in the national government structure, it is also tasked to render final arbitration on disputes and personnel actions on Civil Service matters. Its responsibilities are in recruitment and building, maintenance and retention of a competent, professional and highly motivated government workforce truly responsive to the needs of the government's client - the public.
Development Academy of the Philippines
The Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) is a government owned and controlled corporation whose mission is to: generate innovative, value-adding, pioneering and synergistic solutions to concerns of local, national and international significance; build capacities and partnerships among the key sectors of the Philippine society to undertake reforms and manage changes; and promote sustainable human development and global competitiveness through good governance and productivity in partnership with national, local, and international organizations.
Association of Schools of Public Administration in the Philippines
The Association of Schools of Public Administration in the Philippines, Incorporated (ASPAP) is a non-stock national organization of college and universities in the Philippines offering public administration/management education programs. Since its creation in 1979, it has been spearheading programs geared toward the development and improvement of public administration/management education.
Ateneo School of Government
The Ateneo School of Government or the ASoG started out as a unit under the Graduate School of Business in 1996 and was formally established as an autonomous academic unit in 2001. Since its beginnings, the ASoG has been faithful to its mission of working with effective and ethical public servants to build prosperous and just communities throughout the Philippines.
Career Executive Service Board
The Career Executive Service is the ‘third level’ or the managerial class in the group of career positions in the Philippine civil service. The CES was created by Presidential Decree No. 1 to "form a continuing pool of well-selected and development-oriented career administrators who shall provide competent and faithful service." The CES is also a public personnel system separate from that of the first two levels of positions in the Philippine civil service.
